Crash on Highway 101 slows traffic in both directions through Atascadero
A crash on Highway 101 slowed traffic through Atascadero on Thursday night.
A blue Dodge pickup truck and a Dodge Caravan collided on northbound Highway 101 near the San Anselmo off-ramp at about 4:41 p.m., according to California Highway Patrol Officer Patrick Seebart.
At least one of the vehicles appeared to be in the roadway, Seebart said.
Emergency radio traffic indicated multiple ambulances were responding to the scene. CHP had not yet confirmed if the collision resulted in injuries.
Two tow trucks were en route to the scene of the crash as of 5:13 p.m., according to the CHP traffic incident web page.
Caltrans traffic cameras showed traffic had slowed to a crawl in the northbound lanes as far back as Curbaril Road. Traffic was also slow in the southbound lanes back to the Del Rio exit.
