Rollover crash on Highway 101 slows traffic near Avila Beach
A vehicle crash caused traffic to build up on northbound Highway 101 in Avila Beach on Friday afternoon.
While driving northbound on the highway, a black SUV rolled off the road near the Avila Beach Drive off-ramp — landing in a ravine about 50 feet off the highway at about 2:12 p.m., according to the California Highway Patrol incident log.
An ambulance was called to the scene of the crash, but CHP had not confirmed whether or not the driver or passengers were injured.
Traffic slowed to a crawl on northbound Highway 101 near the Spyglass Drive exit, the Caltrans Quick Map showed.
