Kids have a muddy blast at SLO’s September Scramble obstacle course. See the video

Kids turned out to run, climb and get dirty at the city’s sixth annual Laguna Lake September Scramble on Saturday at the Laguna Lake Golf Course.

Chris Woods, the city’s Parks and Recreation supervisor, said the golf course was set up with 20 obstacles over about a mile.

“(We have) mud pits, climbing walls, hay bales, fishing nets to climb, tunnels and tires,” Woods said. “Kids can run (the course) as many times as they want. And get as muddy as the want.”

The event ran from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. and was open to kids ages 5 to 13. Parents were welcome to run alongside their kids, and the youngsters received T-shirts for participating.
