Crash on Highway 101 in Pismo Beach slows traffic to crawl

A three-vehicle crash on Highway 101 in Pismo Beach brought northbound traffic to a crawl Wednesday morning.

According to the California Highway Patrol’s Incident Information Page, at around 9:54 a.m. CHP received a call for sounds of a traffic collision near Spyglass Drive involving a tan vehicle and grey vehicle, one of which was a Lucid electric vehicle.

Airbags appear to have deployed in one vehicle, according to the incident information page, and minor injuries were reported, including an arm injury to the Lucid’s driver.

As of 10:02 a.m., a flatbed had been dispatched to remove the Lucid vehicle from the scene of the collision, and medics were en route as of 10:11 a.m., according to the Incident Information Page.

At 10:04 a.m., a third vehicle was reported as involved in the collision, according to the CHP.

Though roadways were reported clear as of 10:11 a.m., traffic remains slow going north on Highway 101 as of 11 a.m., the incident information page said.
