Atascadero road closed as fire breaks out behind businesses
Traffic Way in Atascadero was temporarily closed Tuesday afternoon after a fire broke out behind two local businesses.
The fire took place behind AIR Rite and Top Shop at 5001 Traffic Way around 1:45 p.m., according to a Facebook post from Atascadero Fire and Emergency Services.
The flames were confined to the outbuildings and air conditioning units. There was no structure damage to the business, the fire department said.
Traffic Way was closed between Via and Rosario and expected to reopen around 3 p.m.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
