Overturned bus at the base of Cuesta Grade backs up traffic through SLO
An overturned bus at the base of the Grade on Highway 101 snarled traffic through San Luis Obispo on Thursday evening.
According to the California Highway Patrol incident report page, a 24-foot passenger bus was involved in a crash heading northbound on the highway around 4:27 p.m., just past Vista Del Cuidada.
As of 6 p.m., the bus was still on its side as it awaited a tow truck, according to the CHP page.
The incident brought traffic to a standstill through San Luis Obispo, with Caltrans reporting slowdowns as far south as the northbound Los Osos Valley Road off-ramp.
