A child suffered a head injury Tuesday in a dirt bike collision in Templeton, according to California Highway Patrol.

Two children, ages 10 and 15, were riding dirt bikes on private property on South Main Street in Templeton on Tuesday afternoon, according to CHP spokesperson Patrick Seebart.

At about 4:20 p.m., the dirt bikers collided, Seebart said.

The 10-year-old sustained a head injury and a suspected broken bone, and was transported by ground ambulance to Sierra Vista Regional Medical Center in San Luis Obispo, according to Seebart.

The 15-year-old appeared to be uninjured, he said.

Both children were wearing helmets at the time of the crash, according to Seebart.
