Multi-car crash near Santa Maria blocks traffic on Highway 101
A multi-vehicle crash that included a semi truck blocked all northbound traffic on Highway 101 in Santa Maria late Monday afternoon.
Two lanes of traffic were blocked for about an hour, causing standstill traffic until the accident was cleared.
One of the vehicles involved in the crash reportedly flipped but was quickly turned back on its wheels, according to the California Highway Patrol.
A driver was transported to the Marian Regional Medical Center with possible injuries, but the person’s current condition was unclear. It has not yet been reported whether any of the other drivers sustained injuries as a result of the accident.
