Semi-truck and vehicle collide at SLO intersection, sending driver to hospital
A semi-truck and a Toyota sedan collided at a San Luis Obispo intersection on Friday at about 10:30 a.m., sending the car’s driver to the hospital, according to San Luis Obispo Police Department Officer Daniel Bravo.
When a woman drove her white Toyota sedan east down Tank Farm Road, she made a left-hand turn onto Old Windmill Lane and collided with a semi-truck in the intersection, Bravo said.
“She failed to yield to the oncoming traffic going westbound,” Bravo said, and the semi-truck driving on Old Windmill Lane struck the front end of the passenger side of her sedan.
The woman suffered from chest pain after the collision, and an ambulance took her to the hospital.
