A bicyclist was sent to the hospital with major injuries after a collision with vehicle in San Luis Obispo on Friday afternoon.

The collision occurred at the intersection of Grand Avenue and Fredericks Street at about 4:30 p.m., according to the San Luis Obispo Fire Department.

The cyclist sustained major head injuries in the crash and was transported to a local trauma center, according Sgt. Trevor Shalhoob.
