Two people were hospitalized Friday afternoon following a car crash in downtown San Luis Obispo.

The vehicle collision, which took place around 12:15 p.m. at the intersection of Buchon Street and Archer Avenue, involved a silver Mercedes Benz sedan and an Audi SUV.

Both cars sustained moderate damage in the crash.

Two passengers were transported to a nearby hospital, San Luis Obispo Police Department Officer Josh Walsh told The Tribune.

A female passenger was taken from the scene on a stretcher, and a male passenger’s arm was injured in the collision.

Drugs and alcohol were not factors in the collision, Walsh said.
