With some chilly and windy winter days ahead, steaming hot clam chowder, often in a bread bowl, remains one of the most popular — and ubiquitous — menu offerings in San Luis Obispo County.

With that in mind, we’re on the hunt to find the best of the best.

The basis of this list came from the top of Yelp’s recommendations roster, with a few extras tossed in by our staff.

Now it’s up to you, our readers, with your answers to this question in our unscientific poll: Where in SLO County have you had the best clam chowder?

Vote as many times as you want until the poll closes at 11:59 p.m. on Dec. 8.

Remember: This is all in good fun, so please share with family and friends so we can hear from as many of you as possible.
