A pedestrian was hospitalized after being struck by a vehicle Monday evening in San Luis Obispo.

The San Luis Obispo Police and Fire Departments responded to a 7:48 p.m. call at the intersection of Toro Street and Buchon Street where a pedestrian was hit by a vehicle, the Police Department said on Twitter.

“The pedestrian sustained moderate injuries and was transported to a local hospital for care,” the tweet said.

The vehicle’s driver remained at the scene and was cooperative, and drugs and alcohol was not a factor, the tweet said.
