Highway 101 traffic slows to a crawl after mud spill near Grover Beach

Heads up, drivers: Highway 101 traffic through Grover Beach was moving slowly Friday morning after mud spilled across two lanes of the roadway.

Spilled mud at the North Oak Park Boulevard off-ramp was slowing northbound traffic as of 11 a.m., according to emergency services scanner radio traffic.

Both northbound lanes on Highway 101 were impacted by the spilled mud, according to CHP’s traffic incident report page.

A street sweeper had been dispatched to clear the mud, according to the emergency scanner.

A CHP public information officer told The Tribune the debris would likely be cleared within an hour.
