4 people rescued from roof of car in Paso Robles after getting stranded in floodwaters

Four people were rescued from the roof of a car in Paso Robles on Sunday afternoon after becoming stranded in floodwaters, according to Cal Fire.

The vehicle was attempting to cross North River Road around 12:42 p.m. when it became mired, according to emergency app PulsePoint.

Cal Fire responded to the scene along with the San Luis Obispo County Sheriff’s Office, San Luis Obispo Search and Rescue, the San Miguel Fire Department, Paso Robles Fire and Emergency Services and the California Highway Patrol.

“Please turn around at these low water crossings,” Cal Fire SLO tweeted.
