SLO cyclist killed in late-night collision with car on South Higuera

A cyclist was killed late Saturday night in a collision with a vehicle in San Luis Obispo.

The crash happened shortly before midnight on South Higuera Street south of Prado Road.

South Higuera was closed from the DMV to the Tank Farm Road intersection while police investigated the scene. Prado Road was also closed.

A white sedan was stopped at an angle in the intersection of South Higuera and Prado, but officers wouldn’t confirm whether it was the vehicle involved in the crash.

The identity of the cyclist has not been released pending notification of next of kin.
