Arroyo Grande man arrested in connection to ‘multiple thefts from vehicles,’ police say

An Arroyo Grande man wanted in connection to “multiple thefts from vehicles” was arrested Wednesday, according to the Arroyo Grande Police Department.

Arroyo Grande police served the 28-year-old man, who was not identified by name, search and arrest warrants at a residence in the 700 block of Dodson Way, the agency said in a news release.

“The warrants were in connection with multiple thefts from vehicles” that had been reported since Dec. 2, police said. “As a result of the search warrant, officers located stolen property, narcotics and drug paraphernalia.”

The man was arrested on suspicion of burglary, vandalism and being in possession of stolen property and was later booked into San Luis Obispo County Jail, police said.

It was not clear early Friday afternoon whether the man was still in jail custody.

The investigation is ongoing, the release said.

The Arroyo Grande Police Department “encourages residents of Arroyo Grande to contact the Police Department if they suspect their property was stolen” between Dec. 2 and Jan. 18, the release said.

Anyone with information related to the incident is encouraged to contact Arroyo Grande police detectives at 805-473-5110, extension 5121 or 5122, the release said.

If you suspect your property may be in the custody of the Arroyo Grande Police Department, please inquire with property and evidence clerk T. Little at 805-473-5117, the release said.
