Sparkling light exhibit at SLO Botanical Garden extended. Here’s how to get tickets

The glittering art display at the San Luis Obispo Botanical Garden will be available for public viewing longer than expected.

The Botanical Garden extended Nature Nights, an after-hours event that allows guests to stroll through an art and light exhibit, according to a news release from the organization.

The eight-acre exhibit opened Nov. 11 and was originally scheduled to end on Jan. 8.

The event has been a hit, so the SLO Botanical Garden decided to extend Nature Nights through March 19, according to the event website.

The exhibit features artistic lighting designed by Kody Cava alongside other artwork, the news release said.

Guests can purchase snacks and hot beverages at the garden from Paradise Kitchen, as well as regional beer and wine, according to the news release.

“The garden is answering the request from the community to continue to offer family-friendly evening programming during the winter months,” SLO Botanical Garden Executive Director Chenda Lor said in the news release. “We are able to offer Friday through Sunday evenings when most people are looking for an uplifting experience to enlighten their weekend with their friends and families, and we welcome them to the Nature Nights experience.”
