Update: Traffic returns to normal on Highway 101 after car crash

Update, 6:03 p.m.:

Traffic had returned to normal on Highway 101 in San Luis Obispo as of 6 p.m. Thursday.

By 6 p.m., Caltrans Quick Maps showed cars flowing freely near the Monterey Street exit on Highway 101.

A car crash was slowing traffic on Highway 101 through San Luis Obispo on Thursday evening.

According to Caltrans Quick Maps, northbound lanes of the highway were backed up from Fox Hollow Road to the Madonna Road exit as of 5:15 p.m.

Drivers report standstill traffic at numerous points along the route.

The backup appeared to be due to a two-car crash reported on the highway near Fox Hollow Road at 4:16 p.m., according to the California Highway Patrol’s traffic incident page.

No injuries were reported in the crash, the CHP said.
