Real estate bidding wars: Where SLO County homes most often sell for above asking price
Much of California is seeing a cool-down in the real estate market. By at least one measure, the market is still pretty competitive in San Luis Obispo County.
The typical home in nearly every ZIP code in SLO County is still selling for above the original listing price. That’s according to data for sales in July from Redfin.
The percent difference in the average sale price compared to the list price is often a reflection of the competitive nature of a real estate market. Many markets in the state are seeing sale prices at or below listings, a sign that buyers are showing more patience as increasing mortgage rates add hundreds of dollars to monthly payments.
The interactive map below shows data for nearly every ZIP code in SLO County, including Atascadero, Paso Robles, Cambria and Morro Bay. Data is also available for parts of Santa Maria.
