Teen reported missing in SLO County found in Mexico, family says
An Arizona teenager who went missing in San Luis Obispo County was found in Mexico on Monday, according to social media posts by her family.
Alilianna “Lily” Trujillo, 15, was visiting family members in Nipomo when she was reported missing July 1.
The San Luis Obispo County Sheriff’s Office asked residents at Galaxy Mobile Home Park in Nipomo to share videos from security camera or doorbell cameras recorded between midnight and 2 a.m. July 1 in an effort to locate the girl.
According to a video posted on TikTok by bringlilyhome07, an account run by Trujillo’s mother, Jessica Clark, Trujillo was found in Mexico and was being held at the border until her family brings her birth certificate and picks her up.
Several family members and community members also posted messages on Facebook and Nextdoor saying that Trujillo was found safe.
Trujillo, who is from Phoenix, “recently turned 15 and was getting ready to have her quinceanera” when she vanished, her mother wrote on a GoFundMe page seeking help finding the missing teen.
The page, titled “Find Alilianna and bring her home safely,” had not been updated as of Tuesday morning to indidicate whether the teen had been found.
The Sheriff’s Office and Trujillo’s family did not immediately respond Tuesday to requests seeking confirmation that Trujillo had been located.
