Multi-vehicle crash blocks traffic on Highway 46 at Cholame ‘Y’

The scene has been cleared and traffic has resumed as normal, according to Cal Fire.

Original story:

Several vehicles were involved in a crash at the Cholame “Y” on Monday afternoon.

According to CHP’s traffic incident page, a white van appears to have collided with an RV towing a vehicle at the intersection. The incident occurred around 3:10 p.m., according to the traffic log.

The crash scattered debris across the roadway and crews have been called to help with cleanup, according to the log.

Cal Fire is currently on scene.

There are reportedly at least two of injuries that require urgent treatment, according to scanner traffic.

According to the CHP incident log, there is a nurse on scene with the injured.

A stand-still traffic jam was reported on Highway 41 nearby as a result of the crash, according to Caltrans Quick Maps.
