Memorial Day traffic backing up SLO County highways. Here’s where

Attention drivers: several of San Luis Obispo County’s busiest roads are even busier than normal on Monday, as holiday weekend travelers make their way out of the area.

According to Caltrans Quickmaps, several traffic jams have been reported in northern San Luis Obispo County, particularly along Highway 101 and Highway 46.

As of 1:30 p.m., there’s a backup along Highway 101 in Paso Robles at the Highway 46 exit, according to CHP’s traffic log.

There’s also heavy traffic along highways 46 and 41 outside of Shandon, according to Caltrans, with several areas backing up west of the Cholame “Y.”

No other major traffic incidents have been reported in San Luis Obispo County as of Monday afternoon.
