The CHP and Cal Fire responded Saturday to an overturned truck that went over the side of Highway 101 on the Cuesta Grade.

The crash was reported around 1:30 p.m., and first responders are still on scene.

The accident caused a traffic hazard, as debris from the bed of the truck cluttered the road, according to the CHP Traffic Incident Information Page.

The CHP requested an ambulance to the scene.

The truck had gone over the right side guardrail of the highway and was not visible from the roadway, according to the CHP.

The CHP told fire crews and a tow truck to use Stage Coach Road next to the highway for better access to the crash.
