The city of Arroyo Grande rang in the holiday season with parades, a tree lighting and an Elegant Christmas in the Village last weekend.

The 17th Annual Arroyo Grande Christmas Parade, sponsored by Doc Burnstein’s Ice Cream Lab, took place the evening of Dec. 4, lighting up the Village with a range of floats and local residents decked out in holiday gear.

Bob Lund, longtime president of the Arroyo Grande Village Improvement Association, was grand marshal of the parade, in honor of his years of service in the city.

The next night, the city hosted an Elegant Christmas in the Village from noon to 7 p.m., featuring later shopping and dining hours as well as a “Sip and Shop” event with tastings and special deals.
