Update, 4:20 p.m.:

Cal Fire, with assistance from Cambria Ambulance Paramedics and California Highway Patrol, has successfully rescued the frozen climber near Ragged Point.

According to Cal Fire, rescuers used a Billy Pugh basket to rescue the person from the cliff without any injuries.

A hiker was stranded off the side of a cliff near San Simeon on Monday afternoon, according to Cal Fire.

Emergency responders are at the scene off Highway 1 north of Ragged Point where a hiker was stuck on rocks 100 feet from the edge of the cliff, the agency said via Twitter.

A California Highway Patrol helicopter has been called in to assist in the rescue, according to Cal Fire.
