A carnival at Atascadero City Hall? Get a look at the city’s new Fall Festival
The Atascadero Fall Festival turned Sunken Gardens into a mini fair on Friday, complete with live music, beer tastings and a Ferris Wheel in front of City Hall.
The new three-day event features more than 30 bands on two stages, along with a collection of carnival rides, games and food.
There’s a funhouse, attractions for little kids and even the high-speed, rock-and-roll Himalaya ride.
“If you’re 2 years old or 90 years old, there’s something for you to enjoy at this event,” Andres Nuño, co-owner of El Fuego Events and the fall festival organizer, told The Tribune.
Reggae musician Pato Banton will perform as the Saturday headliner, and local Central Coast favorite Bear Market Riot headlines on Sunday.
The event hours for the weekend are 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. Tickets for the beverage tastings and discounted daily passes for carnival games and rides can be purchased in advance at www.atascaderofallfest.com.
“We’re just excited to be in Atascadero and to bring something like this to it,” Nuño said. “We’re really looking forward to creating a longstanding event.”
