200-unit apartment complex filled with amenities is coming to Paso Robles. Here’s a look
More market-rate housing is coming to Paso Robles after the city started construction on a new apartment building and road improvement project on the east side of town.
The vacant lot at 1401 Creston Road in Paso Robles will be home to a 200-unit apartment complex filled with amenities, according to a news release from the city. The groundbreaking ceremony was attended by Paso Robles Mayor Steve Martin, Mayor Pro Tem John Hamon and representatives from the Planning Commission and Community Development Office.
The project, dubbed Arrive Paso Robles, will sit on a 10-acre lot across from Winifred Pifer Elementary School and north of Food4Less, according to the release. The complex’s units will range from one to three bedrooms totaling 730 to 1,300 square feet. Amenities will include a fitness center, swimming pool and playgrounds for toddlers, among other features, the release said.
The lot will also have outdoor seating, bicycle racks and pedestrian walkways that connect the apartment complex to the commercial center to the south.
“We are excited to see this project and related improvements underway,” Martin said. “This and similar developments will broaden our housing inventory, which will improve the quality and affordability of life in our city.”
The second part of the project aims to improve traffic circulation by widening the portion of Creston Road from Niblick to Lana to five lanes — adding two northbound, two southbound and a center turn lane, according to the release. Sidewalks and bicycle lanes will be added on both sides of the street.
Arrive Paso Robles project is scheduled to finish in 2023, and the road improvements will end sooner.
