Hotel SLO’s rooftop bar and lounge are open to the public. Here’s what to expect
Imagine sipping a craft cocktail while you watch the sun set over a stunning Central Coast landscape.
Hotel San Luis Obispo’s new rooftop lounge and bar, now open to the public, features drinks, food and impressive views.
The 78-room luxury hotel, which opened at 877 Palm St. in October 2019, also has two restaurants, a lounge, spa and banquet facilities.
High Bar and the rooftop terrace, which debuted a couple of weeks ago, will be open from 4 p.m. to sunset Wednesdays through Sundays through the month of June, and seven days a week beginning July 1, the hotel announced.
Hotel San Luis Obispo, operated by the group Piazza Hospitality, said in a news release that the rooftop venue offers “an inviting space for guests to revel in the stunning views of the surrounding mountains and San Luis Obispo’s vibrant downtown.”
Hotel SLO High Bar food and drink options
High Bar offers cocktails, wine and craft beer, as well as light bites and specialty pizza from executive chef Ryan Fancher’s onsite restaurant, Piadina.
Menu highlights include a blueberry mojito, spicy tuna rolls and spinach artichoke dip with sourdough crostini.
Olives, herbs and citrus grown in the hotel’s garden are used in dishes made for High Bar guests, as well as Piadina and Hotel SLO’s steak house, Ox + Anchor.
The hotel also features a fitness center, a 50-foot garden terrace swimming pool and jacuzzi and a lobby lounge with a bar, fireplace and adjacent garden courtyard serving all-day refreshments.
Sustainable elements used by the hotel include reusable water bottles for every guest, refill stations throughout the facility and charging stations for electric vehicles.
