Highway 101 paving project to cause lane closures, traffic delays
A Highway 101 paving project will cause overnight traffic delays in the Pismo Beach area starting in early July, according to Caltrans.
Work begins July 6 and continues through October, the agency said.
This $4.4 million project includes resurfacing in both directions of the freeway as well as curb ramp reconstruction and striping to create a smoother driving experience, according to Caltrans.
Drivers can expect northbound lane closures Sunday night through Friday morning from 8 p.m. until 5:30 a.m.
Motorists will encounter southbound lane closures Sunday night through Friday morning from 9 p.m. until 7 a.m.
“Ramp closures will take place at various locations during this project,” Caltrans officials said in a news release. “Details will be announced when these locations and times are certain. Delays should not exceed 10 minutes.”
The contractor is Papich Construction of Arroyo Grande.
