One person killed after vehicle drives off SLO County cliff

One person was killed after a vehicle drove off a cliff on Monday evening east of San Miguel, according to Cal Fire San Luis Obispo.

Firefighters responded to the crash about 5:45 p.m. near the intersection of Ranchita Canyon and Nickel Creek roads, a Cal Fire tweet said.

The vehicle drove off the roadway and down a 50-foot cliff.

Cal Fire crews accessed the scene and confirmed that one person died in the crash, a later tweet said.
