What’s that smoke? Cal Fire performing a controlled burn near Creston

If you’re wondering why there was a column of smoke rising from the hills in the North County on Monday, not to worry.

Cal Fire SLO was conducting a controlled burn about four miles south of Creston. Crews from the CAL FIRE/CCC Camarillo Fire Center assisted with the burn.

The smoke could be seen as far away as San Luis Obispo.
