Update: Creston residential fire has been knocked down

Update 8:15 p.m.

Cal Fire tweeted this photo advising their crews are moping up and will remain at the scene for the next couple of hours.

Update 6:30 p.m.

According to a spokesperson at CAL Fire headquarters, the active fire has been knocked down. The second structure that was originally threatened did not burn.

At approximately 5:50 p.m. Saturday, firefighters were dispatched to a structure fire at the 6500 block of O’Donovan Road in Creston, according to Cal Fire scanner traffic.

The first units at the scene reported that an approximately 500 sq. foot mobile home was in flames and threatening another structure nearby.

An incident command has been created. Other equipment has been dispatched to the scene to assist in extinguishing the fire.
