Car drives off cliff near Moonstone Beach in Cambria
A car ended up on the rocks along Moonstone Beach Friday afternoon after apparently driving off a cliff in Cambria.
Photos sent to The Tribune show a vehicle perched on its back wheels in the area of Moonstone Beach Drive and Weymouth Street. The front of the car is propped up on the cliffside.
It is unclear why the vehicle went over the rocky embankment.
According to police scanner traffic, the two occupants of the car were outside the vehicle when the crash was reported around 3:40 p.m.
The incident was updated to “non-injury” on CHP’s traffic incident report page around 5:30 p.m.
CHP has not returned a Tribune request for comment on the incident as of 5:45 p.m.
