SLO County’s biggest book sale starts Thursday — with bargains on more than 30,000 titles

Paging all bibliophiles: San Luis Obispo County’s biggest book sale of the year is coming.

The San Luis Obispo Friends of the Library’s 41st annual book sale will feature more than 30,000 books and thousands of films, DVDs and music CDs.

The sale will be at the Veterans Memorial Building, 801 Grand Ave. in San Luis Obispo on March 5, 6 and 7.

Friends of the Library members can shop noon to 7 p.m. Thursday, with $10 individual memberships and $20 family memberships for sale at the door.

The sale is open to the public 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Friday and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday.

On Saturday, the last two hours will feature a bag sale for remaining books.

Volunteers work for a year sorting donated books and other media, with all the proceeds of the sale going to the San Luis Obispo County Library.
