Cat rescued from storm drain by Santa Maria firefighters

Santa Maria firefighters responded to an unusual call on Sunday night: a cat stuck in a storm drain.

The feline was rescued from a storm drain in the 300 block of West Williams St. by firefighters from Engine 3 with help from Santa Barbara County Animal Services, the department said on Twitter.

The cat is said to be doing fine after its rescue.
