Cal Poly has 4,000 colorful poinsettias for sale. Here’s how to get one

Cal Poly greenhouses will be bursting with poinsettias this weekend for the Plant Shop’s annual holiday sale.

More than 4,000 plants will be available in colors from red and pink to orange and white. The sale runs from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday and 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday.

Prices are $5 to $50, and the sale will continue through Saturday, Dec. 14, or as long as plants are available.

Students Beth Funke and Justin Williams have worked on the enterprise project since late spring under the guidance of lecturer Susan Snyder and unit manager Wendy Robinson.

Also included in the Poly Plant Holiday Sale are student-made wreaths, centerpieces, succulents and gifts.

The Poly Plant Shop is across from the baseball field, off Via Carta Road. Take the Cal Poly Highland Drive entrance, turn left on Via Carta Road, and go to the top of the hill. For more information, call the Poly Plant Shop at 805-756-1106.
