A brush fire burned about three acres Sunday near Old Creek Road in Templeton, just south of Highway 46.
A firefighter on the scene described the fire as 50 percent contained as of 1 p.m.. The forward progress of the fire had also been stopped, Cal Fire said.

Crews were expected to mop up the remaining hotspots over the course of Sunday afternoon, according to officials.
