Christmas fire in Atascadero barn causes $5,000 in damage
A barn fire in Atascadero on Christmas night caused about $5,000 worth of damage, officials said.
The fire was reported about 11:10 p.m. in the 9200 block of Lucinda Lane, according to the Atascadero Fire Department. When firefighters arrived on scene, they found a barn and a wood pile on fire.
The fire was under control about 20 minutes later and was caused by discarded ashes, officials said.
No one was injured.
