SLO County weather forecast for the week of Nov. 27
Here is this week’s weather forecast by PG&E meteorologist John Lindsey.
A cold front was forecast to pass the Central Coast on Sunday night, with rain followed by an upper-level trough early Monday morning with rain showers. Rainfall amounts are expected to be around one quarter of an inch. The front will also bring a colder air mass back to the Central Coast and snow to the Sierra Nevada mountains. Snow levels may fall to near 5,000 feet by Monday morning.
Strong to gale-force (25 to 38 mph) west to northwesterly winds are forecast later Monday morning into Monday afternoon, shifting out of the northeast and decreasing to fresh to strong (19 to 31 mph) levels Monday night into Tuesday. In fact, these fresh to strong (19 to 31 mph) Santa Lucia (northeasterly) winds will continue through Friday which will produce bone-dry weather with cold mornings and mild afternoons. The longer-range models are still advertising a possible shift to a wet and unsettled weather pattern during the first week of December, but please remember these are long-range charts and will probably change.

At PG&E, your safety is our first concern. If it rains Sunday night into Monday morning, be especially careful; rain could release oil and grease that has accumulated on our roadways, creating slippery conditions. Please, slow down and give yourself extra time to reach your destination. Driving too fast is the No. 1 cause of accidents on wet days.
