Assemblyman Jordan Cunningham has named SLO Provisions as his Small Business of the Month for September.

SLO Provisions, located at 1255 Monterey St., uses local ingredients for all-day carry-out and dine-in food options, including rotisserie meats, family-style dinners and baked goods.

“The service provided (and) employment opportunities created by SLO Provisions is only one example of how they are benefiting our community,” Cunningham said in a news release. “Their commitment to working with local farmers and ranchers in order to provide customers with locally grown products will keep revenue in the area and encourage these businesses to grow.”

The restaurant opened in 2015 and is owned by Steve Bland and Dwyne Willis.

On Monday, Bland said he was thankful to be selected for the recognition.

“We were very honored to be chosen as Small Business of the Month,” he said. “We strive to do our best for our customers, and it is extremely gratifying to be recognized in this way.”
