Just how hot will it get at the Mid-State Fair? Here’s the forecast
Here’s the good news for California Mid-State Fair goers this weekend: After weeks of above-average temperatures that often topped triple-digits, it’s expected to be slightly cooler.
Through Saturday, temperatures are expected to reach the high 90s by 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. Temperatures will drop into the mid-80s by 8 p.m., with gentle-to-moderate northwesterly winds, according to PG&E meteorologist John Lindsey.
And by 10 p.m., temperatures will dip even farther into the mid-70s. And from Sunday into Tuesday, a “deep and persistent” marine layer predicted to develop along the coast will lead to below-seasonal temperatures in North County, Lindsey said.
But the cool weather won’t last long: By the end of next week, temperatures may once again rise to above-normal levels, according to Lindsey.
