Jordan Hasay ‘thrilled’ to serve as race ambassador for City to the Sea
Central Coast running sensation Jordan Hasay will serve as the official race ambassador for the 22nd annual City to the Sea half marathon and 5K in October.
City to the Sea organizers announced the news on their Facebook page Wednesday afternoon.
Hasay, a former Mission Prep star and All-American at the University of Oregon, confirmed her role at the event on her personal Twitter account, saying she’s “thrilled” to take on the role of ambassador.
The Arroyo Grande native captured the attention of the running world when she was the top female American finisher at the Boston Marathon in April — setting the record for an American woman in a marathon debut.
Proceeds from City to the Sea go to improving and developing the track and field facilities at Cuesta College.
