A 25-year-old San Luis Obispo man was arrested Tuesday, July 4, 2017, on suspicion of driving under the influence after flipping his car near downtown SLO, police said.

A 25-year-old San Luis Obispo man was arrested early Tuesday morning on suspicion of driving under the influence after flipping his car over near downtown, police said.

The San Luis Obispo Police Department responded about 5:30 a.m. to a report of a collision involving multiple parked cars and an overturned vehicle near the intersection of High and Buchon streets, according to a news release.

Officers contacted the driver, who was standing near the overturned vehicle, and performed a DUI investigation.

The driver was arrested, booked into County Jail, and his vehicle was towed away from the scene.

No one was injured in the crash, the news release said.
