“Big Bang Theory” actor Johnny Galecki, whose Santa Margarita home was lost in the Hill Fire, posted a picture on Instagram on Thursday thanking Cal Fire firefighters for their service.

The picture shows him hugging a firefighter and standing in a debris-covered area.

“It is the profound risks that you accept and the sacrifices you and your families make that keep us safe,” Galecki wrote in his post. He also thanked everyone who had “reached out in support.”

“It is far from lost on us here.”

The home was one of multiple structures destroyed by the fast-moving blaze that was 85 percent contained as of Thursday morning. TMZ reported Galecki plans to visit the home to salvage anything that was spared.

Galecki plays Leonard Hofstadter on the “Big Bang Theory,” one of the most popular on TV. He also was a regular on the sitcom “Roseanne.”
