Wine enthusiasts got a taste of animal magnetism at the Atascadero Lakeside Wine Festival on Saturday, June 24, 2017 at Atascadero Lake Park. Billed as “the only Central Coast Festival with a zoo,” the event actually benefitted the Charles Paddock Zoo in Atascadero, which opened its doors to wine enthusiasts to enjoy a glass of wine and view the animals. The festival features local wineries, live music, craft beers, local artists and vendors and plenty of food. It featured a “Mayor’s Winemaker Dinner” Friday and a morning golf tournament Saturday, with the festival itself running from 4 to 8 p.m. Zoo admission was included for festival attendees during those hours.
