Three rescued from rushing water near San Miguel

A man, woman and child were rescued near San Miguel on Tuesday when their car stalled in rushing creek water.

About 1:30 p.m., Cal Fire received a call for assistance to a low-water crossing on San Marcos Creek, according to Cal Fire Capt. Dave Kay. The driver tried to shift gears mid-stream and the car stalled, Kay said.

No one was injured, and the car was towed to dry ground.
