Fire crews quickly extinguish greenhouse blaze in Nipomo

Fire crews quickly extinguished a greenhouse and surrounding vegetation that was on fire in Nipomo on Sunday evening, according to Cal Fire.

Cal Fire began receiving calls about the fire in the 500 block of Guadalupe Road at 5 p.m. The fire was contained at 5:17 p.m. A Cal Fire spokeswoman didn’t know if it was a commercial or residential greenhouse, but said that it was an agricultural area.

She was uncertain how large the fire was or how much damage was caused to the greenhouse.

Cal Fire, San Luis Obispo County Fire and Santa Maria Fire responded to the incident.
