San Luis Obispo County residents will be able to get a free vaccination as flu season arrives this week.

According to a news release from the San Luis Obispo County Public Health Department, the county will host a free flu vaccine pop-up clinic on Thursday from 4 to 6 p.m. at the San Luis Obispo Veterans Memorial Hall.

Anyone over the age of 6 months old who needs a flu vaccine can get one for free regardless of appointment, residency, income, insurance or immigration status, according to the county Public Health Department.

Vaccinations will be offered on a first-come, first-served basis, and interested community members should remember to wear short sleeves with easy access to the upper arm, according to the release.
