Headed to the FIFA World Cup? Chow down on regional food faves galore
The 2026 FIFA World Cup started Thursday, with two matches taking place in Mexico. Northern California will get its turn in the spotlight starting on June 13. As the first of six matches, Qatar will face off against Switzerland at Levi’s Stadium, which will be known as San Francisco Bay Area Stadium for the duration of the games due to FIFA corporate sponsorship rules.
Levi’s Stadium is located in the city of Santa Clara, and its official tourism arm Visit Santa Clara has published numerous guides for what to see and what to eat in the surrounding area. Numerous local food options are also available within the Stadium itself, with restaurants and concessions stands hailing from California and the surrounding Santa Clara Valley.
According to the stadium’s website, these are the concessions within the venue. Although the site also noted that some options and venues may not be available.

What started as a fleet of taco trucks in 2005 later became Aruajo’s Mexican Grill in San Jose. At the Stadium, they serve burritos, tacos, and fries topped with carne asada.
Mesquite and Oak serves up Texas-style barbecue in the heart of San Jose, as well as at Levi’s Stadium, where they sell barbecue and burgers, as well as deep-fried pickles and cream cheese-stuffed churros.
